Side hustle internship gave us a group assignment to look for a problem and come up with a solution. Below is the result:

Project Overview

Technology has become ever more important to summon fast and effective emergency assistance to road travelers. Creating an App is the only starting point of putting together a quicker emergency rescue service. Our offering is based on the principles of getting help at any time anywhere.

Problem statement

Insecurity has reduced the value of life in Nigeria. Citizens now fear to travel on the roads and there are also costly economic consequences as the vulnerability limits the movement of people, goods and services. Citizens are on edge. Nigerians are unhappy with the spate of insecurity on its roads.

Objective

Our objective is to keep Nigerians safe from road insecurities and other emergencies. The quicker the emergency contact is able to respond to a crime scene or other road emergencies, the greater the chance of survival for the victim.

Research

We conducted a user survey and this is what we arrived at;

Proposed Solution

To make a mobile Application where road travelers can inform friends and relatives of their live location and alerts them if they encounter any problems on their trip. The App will also notify the traveler if there are security, weather, disease or any other cautionary alerts for the destination on their itinerary.

You can also view safe routes around the city, as well as view statistics of incidents in any city of the country. The App will be easy to use and convenient for everyone and this could be the difference between life and death in Nigeria.
